April 15: More Closures for Bengali New Year and Himachal Day

Tuesday brings Pohela Boishakh or Bengali New Year, Himachal Day, and Bohag Bihu in parts of India. As a result, banks will remain shut in Agartala, Guwahati, Kolkata, Itanagar, and Shimla.

These festivals mark the beginning of the new year as per regional calendars and are widely celebrated with family gatherings, traditional foods, and prayers.

April 16: Banks Closed in Guwahati Again

April 21: Garia Puja in Agartala

On Monday, April 21, banks in Agartala will be closed for Garia Puja, a festival celebrated in Tripura. The festival involves worshipping Lord Garia for prosperity, livestock protection, and good harvest.
